About LILI Talks

LILI Talks — Latino Industry Leaders & Innovators — is a podcast dedicated to amplifying the voices of Latinos who are building, leading, and transforming industries across the Americas. Each episode dives into real stories of growth, struggle, resilience, and innovation, showing what it truly takes to create opportunity and impact as a Latino in today’s world.

Hosted by Darvin Gomez and Andre Ureña, LILI Talks brings together decades of experience in entrepreneurship, finance, insurance, technology, entertainment, and community leadership.

Together, Darvin and Andre sit down with Latino founders, executives, creatives, and change-makers to talk about the things that matter but are rarely discussed openly: money, pressure, mental health, risk, failure, legacy, and the responsibility that comes with success. Their style is relaxed, honest, and straight to the point, mixing humor with hard-earned wisdom so listeners walk away with both inspiration and practical insight they can apply in their own lives and careers.

LILI Talks exists for the next generation of Latino leaders — the dreamers, hustlers, and innovators who are ready to build something bigger for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Pull up a seat, listen in, and be part of the conversation.

Darvin Gomez

Darvin Gomez is a first-generation Colombian American entrepreneur who grew up in Las Vegas and now lives in Fort Lauderdale. Since 2001, he has built and led multiple businesses, including one of Nevada’s largest independent Latino insurance agencies, along with ventures in mortgages, tax services, commercial insurance, and real estate investments.

Driven by a commitment to uplift the Latino community, he launched LILI Talks to spotlight the real journeys of Latino leaders and creators, blending culture, business, humor, and honesty. Darvin’s goal is to give the next generation the guidance and confidence he wished existed when he started.

Known for his laid-back but direct style, Darvin believes “failure is not an option.” Outside of business, he enjoys traveling, boating as a licensed USCG captain, and spending time with his family.

Andre Ureña

Andre Ureña is a community-driven innovator with 30+ years across insurance, real estate, fintech, renewable energy, and music. He’s currently CRO at Fiado App AI, integrating AI into cross-border banking for the U.S. and Mexico. Andre also leads growth for Auto International Insurance, founded and directs the Latin American Agents Alliance, and supports Florence Care—connecting opportunities across the Americas.

He built his first major exit by growing Oasis Insurance into Freeway Insurance, helping create Confie Holdings and its Tijuana call center. A former Costa Rican Trade Commissioner to the U.S., he helped establish the Costa Rica Film Commission, founded Musica Roots in Los Angeles, and has led projects in Panama, including a large call-center build.

A frequent speaker and educator, Andre equips entrepreneurs with practical tools and systems while advocating for underserved communities. He launched initiatives to help undocumented drivers obtain licenses and proper insurance, and co-founded the Latin American Immigration Association to raise standards for immigration consultants.

Recognized by the California Legislature and the City of Los Angeles, and published in outlets like the New York Times and Insurance Journal, Andre’s mission is to help people reclaim time, improve efficiency, and build profitable, resilient businesses—strengthening families and communities along the way.
